IT REALLY IS SNOWIN' IN THE SOUTH!!!!!!

boyfriend called me this morning at 6:30 and said he was in my driveway and that he had an early Christmas present for me. he said it was really big, and i needed to hurry and go open the door. not being a morning person, and not being completely awake, i opened the door and saw nothing. it took me a minute, and then i saw it-SNOW!! lots and lots of snow! i bundled up, much like the way i did for the fake snowin' in the south. real snow requires the following: tights, jeans, long sleeve shirt, sweater, coat, two pairs of thick socks, and gloves. here are the pictures from this morning!

Snowin' in the South

last night, boyfriend and i thought it would be fun to go to Snowin' in the South. each year right before finals, they bring in a bunch of fake snow, like at the ski places, and block off an area of the parade grounds for all students to come play in the snow. i thought it would be so much fun. i haven't liked snow in the past, the little bit of it that i've seen, and thought maybe i would love this. wrong. what i didn't know was that essentially snowin' in the south is a GIANT snowball fight where you throw snowballs (violently) at random people, with the intent of hitting someone not expecting to be hit, and vice versa. i lasted about fifteen minutes. if even. i'd had enough after the third direct hit to my face. the last one was giant and hit in both my eyes. my face was still red and sore this morning! so, i've decided that snow is absolutely not for me! it was extremely cold, too! i had on tights, fuzzy socks, "snow" boots (really rain boots), jeans, a thick sweater, coat, scarf, gloves, and hat. i was also reminded why i don't wear those kinds of hats-i look like the little short, fat man burglar on Home Alone. great fun! and even with all my layers on it was still cold! we did get to see the massive Christmas tree and the Old Law Building all decorated, so i'm glad we went!
